Job Description

The SPE is a pipeline engineer responsible for developing the Studio’s production tracking and management toolset. This includes designing and developing pipeline scripts and applications and maintaining the existing pool of pipeline scripts and applications for the Television Animation business unit. Analyzing pipeline software procedures and problems. Evaluating the effectiveness of existing software solutions. We’re looking for an intellectually curious, business-savvy, analytical powerhouse to join the Disney Television Animation Technology team as a Studio Pipeline Engineer (SPE). In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting Production Pipeline solutions across the various Disney Television Animation: Productions and Development.

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years + working in a Digital production pipeline software development environment

  • Must be able to work independently with technical and non-technical staff to determine system needs

  • Experience within Television and/or Film Production industry

  • Able to learn and work in a fast paced, production critical environment while staying well organized and detail oriented

  • Proficiency in OpenImageIO, OpenColorIO. Thinkbox Deadline

  • Software development and scripting for DCC applications such as Photoshop, Maya, Nuke, Houdini

Compensation
