  • Oversee and assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the Disney standards and recipes
  • Collaborate with Head Chef and other team members to create and develop new menu items
  • Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain a high level of culinary excellence
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate food orders
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage of food and equipment
  • Assist in creating and maintaining budgets for food and labor costs
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge
  • Provide exceptional guest service, handling any guest concerns or requests with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Uphold the Disney brand and image through appearance, behavior, and interactions with guests and team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Degree Or Equivalent Experience: A Sous Chef At The Walt Disney Company Should Have A Formal Education In Culinary Arts Or Equivalent Experience In A High-Volume Kitchen Setting.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience As A Sous Chef Or In A Similar Leadership Role In A Professional Kitchen.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Standards: The Walt Disney Company Places A High Emphasis On Food Safety And Sanitation, So A Sous Chef Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Standards And Be Able To Enforce Them In The Kitchen.

  • Creativity And Innovation: The Sous Chef Should Have A Strong Creative Drive And Be Able To Develop New And Exciting Dishes, As Well As Adapt Existing Recipes To Fit The Disney Brand.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Key Member Of The Kitchen Team, The Sous Chef Must Have Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate Their Team, As Well As Work Collaboratively With Other Departments Within The Walt Disney Company.
