  1. Manage and oversee the National Geographic YouTube channel, ensuring all content is in line with the brand's mission and values.
  2. Develop and implement creative and engaging social media strategies to increase audience engagement and grow the channel's following.
  3. Create and curate high-quality and visually appealing content for the YouTube channel, including videos, thumbnails, and descriptions.
  4. Monitor and analyze channel performance, using insights to inform future content and strategy decisions.
  5. Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand image and message across all social media platforms.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and algorithm changes to ensure the channel is utilizing the most effective social media tactics.
  7. Engage with the audience through comments, messages, and other forms of interaction to build a strong and loyal community.
  8. Collaborate with external partners and influencers to create cross-promotional opportunities and reach new audiences.
  9. Work closely with the production team to plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions for upcoming National Geographic content.
  10. Monitor and respond to any social media crises or issues that may arise, handling them professionally and in line with brand guidelines.
  11. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques in social media, regularly sharing insights and recommendations with the team.
  12. Manage the social media budget for the YouTube channel, ensuring all expenses are within budget and allocated effectively.
  13. Act as a brand ambassador for National Geographic, promoting the brand and its values through all social media interactions.
  14. Collaborate with other social media managers and teams within The Walt Disney Company to share best practices and ensure a cohesive social media strategy across all platforms.
  15. Continuously seek out and implement new and innovative ways to engage with the audience and grow the channel's reach.
