Welcome to The Walt Disney Company! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security K9 Manager to join our team. As a Security K9 Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, cast members, and property. You will oversee a team of specially trained K9 units and work closely with other security personnel to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all.   1. Train and manage a team of K9 units to effectively patrol and secure designated areas within the Walt Disney Company.
  2. Collaborate with other security personnel to develop and implement effective security strategies and procedures.
  3. Conduct regular training sessions for K9 units to maintain their skills and ensure they are up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all K9 units, including scheduling regular check-ups and coordinating any necessary medical care.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in K9 training techniques to continuously improve the effectiveness of the team.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to security.
  7. Investigate and report any security incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
  8. Enforce company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, guest conduct standards and property protection measures.
  9. Lead by example and uphold the company's values of safety, courtesy, show, and efficiency.
  10. Provide exceptional guest service by responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Maintain accurate records of K9 unit training, scheduling, and performance.
  12. Participate in company-wide emergency response drills and be prepared to act in emergency situations.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve security measures to ensure the safety of all guests, cast members, and property.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, safety protocols and confidentiality agreements.
  16. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting diversity and inclusion amongst team members.
  17. Serve as a role model for the team by consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Managing And Training Security K9 Teams, Preferably In A Theme Park Or High-Security Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Canine Behavior, Training Techniques, And Health And Safety Protocols.

  • Certification Or Training In Canine Handling And Management, Such As A Certified Protection Dog Trainer (Cpdt) Or Certified Police K9 Trainer (Cpk9T).

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Oversee A Team Of K9 Handlers And Ensure Smooth Operations.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations Related To Security And Animal Welfare, As Well As The Ability To Implement And Enforce Them Within The Organization.
