Job Description

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Merchandise Inventory Control Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the timely and efficient distribution of merchandise across our various theme parks and retail locations.   1. Maintain accurate inventory records for merchandise across all theme parks and retail locations.
  2. Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure timely and efficient distribution of merchandise.
  3. Collaborate with various departments to ensure inventory needs are met and stock levels are maintained.
  4. Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
  5. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Keep abreast of new products and trends to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
  7. Work closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
  8. Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to management in a timely manner.
  9. Monitor and report on inventory turnover rates and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Train and supervise inventory control team members.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
  12. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure merchandise displays are well-stocked and organized.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  14. Participate in inventory counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.
  15. Stay up-to-date on inventory software and utilize it to its full potential.
  16. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  17. Handle any inventory-related customer inquiries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  18. Adhere to all safety and security protocols related to inventory control.
  19. Act as a brand ambassador for Disney and maintain the highest level of professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.
  20. Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay informed on company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Inventory Control, Preferably In A Retail Or Merchandise Environment.

  • Proficiency In Inventory Management Software, Such As Sap Or Oracle.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Inventory Discrepancies.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
