- Lead and manage a team of texture artists, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the highest quality of work.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as modeling and lighting, to ensure consistency and cohesiveness in the overall look of the film.
- Create and oversee the development of textures for characters, environments, and props, using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Maintain a high level of artistic and technical proficiency, keeping up to date with industry trends and techniques.
- Work closely with the Art Director and Production Designer to establish and maintain the visual style and tone of the film.
- Review and provide feedback on the work of other texture artists, ensuring it aligns with the established visual style and meets project deadlines.
- Manage and organize texture files and assets to ensure efficient workflow and easy access for the team.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to maintain the production schedule and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Director and other creative leads to brainstorm and develop ideas for the overall look and feel of the film.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the quality and efficiency of the texture department.
- Act as a mentor and role model for junior artists, providing support and guidance to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Represent the texture department in meetings and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure the project's success.
- Ensure all work aligns with the Disney brand and maintains the highest level of quality and artistic integrity.
- Adhere to project schedules and meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality.
- Collaborate with the production team to manage resources and budget effectively.
Extensive Experience In Creating High-Quality Textures For Feature Animation Films, With A Strong Portfolio Showcasing A Variety Of Styles And Techniques.
Proven Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Texture Artists To Achieve A Cohesive And Visually Stunning Look For The Film.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Industry-Standard Software Such As Maya, Zbrush, Mari, And Photoshop, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of The Technical Aspects Of Texture Creation And Integration Into The Production Pipeline.
