We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant General Counsel to join our legal team and oversee our OSHA and workplace health and safety initiatives. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting a culture of workplace safety.   1. Develop and oversee the implementation of workplace health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  2. Monitor and evaluate workplace safety practices and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on workplace health and safety matters.
  4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  5. Investigate and report on any workplace accidents, injuries, or safety violations.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs on workplace safety for all employees.
  7. Stay up-to-date on OSHA regulations and industry best practices to ensure company compliance.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and operations, to promote a culture of safety.
  9. Review and negotiate contracts and agreements related to workplace safety.
  10. Manage relationships with external agencies and consultants for workplace safety matters.
  11. Provide legal advice and guidance to management on OSHA and workplace health and safety issues.
  12. Handle any legal disputes or claims related to workplace safety.
  13. Develop and manage the department budget for workplace health and safety initiatives.
  14. Communicate regularly with senior management on the status of workplace safety initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
  15. Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
  16. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes the well-being of all employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School And Active Membership In Good Standing With The State Bar.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Practicing Law In The Area Of Osha And Workplace Health And Safety, Preferably In A Corporate Or In-House Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Osha Regulations, Workplace Safety Standards, And Related Laws.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Provide Practical And Strategic Legal Advice To Business Leaders.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
