- Manage and analyze grants and contracts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all grants and contracts.
- Provide financial guidance and support to research teams in managing their grants and budgets.
- Monitor and track grant expenditures to ensure proper allocation and utilization of funds.
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements related to grants and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any financial issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all grant-related financial transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and guidelines related to grants and contracts, and ensure compliance.
- Communicate effectively with research teams to provide guidance and assistance with grant-related financial matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures related to grants and contracts.
- Train and mentor junior accountants in grants and contract management.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and budgets in collaboration with research teams.
- Monitor and track grant funding and ensure timely invoicing and collection of funds.
- Collaborate with auditors during grant and contract audits.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in grant and contract management and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Uphold the mission and values of The Scripps Research Institute in all aspects of the job.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Grants Accounting Role, Preferably In A Non-Profit Or Research Institute Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Federal And Private Grant Regulations And Requirements.
Proficiency In Grant Accounting Software And Financial Management Systems.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
