- Maintain accurate records of animal health and behavior observations.
- Monitor and report any changes in animal behavior or health to supervising scientists.
- Administer experimental treatments and procedures as directed by scientists.
- Ensure compliance with all animal welfare regulations and protocols.
- Maintain and clean animal housing and research areas.
- Collaborate with scientists and other team members to develop and implement animal care plans.
- Communicate effectively with team members and scientists regarding animal care and research needs.
- Participate in training and continuing education programs related to animal care and welfare.
- Follow strict sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for research purposes.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for animal care.
- Conduct routine health checks and administer medications as directed.
- Adhere to ethical standards and policies related to animal care and use.
Bachelor's Degree In Animal Science, Biology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Laboratory Animals In A Research Setting.
Aalas Certification At The Alat Level Or Higher.
Knowledge Of Animal Handling, Husbandry, And Care For Various Species, Including Rodents And Non-Human Primates.
Understanding Of Laboratory Protocols, Safety Procedures, And Regulatory Compliance Related To Animal Research.
