Job Description

  1. Provide daily care and husbandry for animal subjects, including feeding, watering, and cleaning of enclosures.
  2. Maintain accurate records of animal health and behavior observations.
  3. Monitor and report any changes in animal behavior or health to supervising scientists.
  4. Administer experimental treatments and procedures as directed by scientists.
  5. Ensure compliance with all animal welfare regulations and protocols.
  6. Maintain and clean animal housing and research areas.
  7. Collaborate with scientists and other team members to develop and implement animal care plans.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and scientists regarding animal care and research needs.
  9. Participate in training and continuing education programs related to animal care and welfare.
  10. Follow strict sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  11. Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for research purposes.
  12. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  13. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for animal care.
  14. Conduct routine health checks and administer medications as directed.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards and policies related to animal care and use.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Animal Science, Biology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Laboratory Animals In A Research Setting.

  • Aalas Certification At The Alat Level Or Higher.

  • Knowledge Of Animal Handling, Husbandry, And Care For Various Species, Including Rodents And Non-Human Primates.

  • Understanding Of Laboratory Protocols, Safety Procedures, And Regulatory Compliance Related To Animal Research.
