Job Description

The North Face is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Materials Developer to join our team. As a Materials Developer, you will be responsible for researching, sourcing, and developing materials that meet the durability and performance needs of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new materials and technologies, while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.We are looking for a candidate with a passion for outdoor and apparel products, a strong technical background in fabrics and materials, and experience with the development process. The ideal candidate will be an independent and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have a strong understanding of the materials development process and are eager to make a difference at The North Face, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research and source new materials and technologies to meet the durability and performance needs of The North Face products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new materials and technologies.
  3. Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  4. Maintain a strong technical background in fabrics and materials.
  5. Stay up to date on industry trends and developments.
  6. Oversee the development process from start to finish.
  7. Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
  8. Work in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
