  1. Receive and unload incoming merchandise from delivery trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Accurately check and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure correct quantities and items.
  3. Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas according to store guidelines.
  4. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.
  5. Assist with inventory control by conducting cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  7. Operate forklifts and other equipment to move merchandise as needed.
  8. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with loading and locating merchandise.
  9. Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  10. Follow company policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
  11. Maintain a positive attitude and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Continuously strive for efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
  13. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  14. Assist in other areas of the store as needed to support overall operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Strong Understanding Of Warehouse Operations, Including Receiving, Storing, And Shipping Of Goods, Is Essential For A Freight/Receiving Associate At The Home Depot.

  • Ability To Operate Forklifts And Other Equipment: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Forklift License And Have Experience In Operating Other Warehouse Equipment Such As Pallet Jacks And Hand Trucks.

  • Physical Fitness: The Job Of A Freight/Receiving Associate Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, Stand For Long Periods Of Time, And Work In Various Weather Conditions.
