As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is well-stocked and organized for our customers.   1. Receive and process incoming shipments of merchandise, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Unload and sort merchandise from delivery trucks, using proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
  3. Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and report any discrepancies to supervisory staff.
  4. Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas, ensuring shelves and displays are clean and well-maintained.
  5. Label and tag merchandise with accurate pricing and product information.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  7. Assist customers with locating and loading merchandise, providing friendly and helpful service.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and managers to ensure efficient flow of merchandise and resolve any issues or concerns.
  9. Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move merchandise as needed.
  10. Follow company policies and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to safety guidelines.
  11. Continuously monitor inventory levels and communicate any low stock or overstock situations to management.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks and ensure the store is prepared for peak business periods.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain a high level of job knowledge and skills.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  15. Uphold the company's values and mission, representing The Home Depot brand with integrity and dedication.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Strong Candidate For A Freight/Receiving Associate Position Should Have Previous Experience In Warehouse Operations, Including Receiving, Stocking, And Organizing Inventory.

  • Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Heavy Lifting, Pushing, And Pulling Of Merchandise, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Attention To Detail: The Freight/Receiving Associate Is Responsible For Accurately Identifying And Documenting Incoming Shipments, So Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills Are Essential.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Necessary For This Role, As The Freight/Receiving Associate Will Need To Work Closely With Other Team Members, As Well As Interact With Customers, Vendors, And Delivery Drivers.

  • Forklift Certification: Many Home Depot Locations Require Freight/Receiving Associates To Be Certified To Operate A Forklift. Candidates With Prior Forklift Experience Or Certification Will Be Highly Preferred.
