As a Freight/Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our shelves are fully stocked and our customers' orders are accurately fulfilled.   1. Receive and unload incoming freight shipments in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Verify and inspect all incoming merchandise for accuracy and quality.
  3. Organize and stock merchandise on shelves and in designated storage areas.
  4. Create and maintain accurate inventory records.
  5. Monitor and replenish inventory levels to ensure shelves are fully stocked at all times.
  6. Communicate with team members and managers regarding any inventory issues or discrepancies.
  7. Assist customers with locating and retrieving merchandise as needed.
  8. Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and transport merchandise.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and company policies.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns with a positive and helpful attitude.
  11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
  12. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  13. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  14. Adhere to all company and legal regulations regarding freight and receiving procedures.
  15. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive light to customers and fellow team members.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In Logistics And/Or Receiving Operations: This Includes Knowledge Of Warehouse Operations, Inventory Management, And Forklift Operation.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Team Members And Vendors, As Well As Keep Track Of Inventory And Shipments, Is Crucial For This Role.

  • Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: Freight/Receiving Associates Are Required To Lift And Move Heavy Items On A Daily Basis, So Physical Strength And Endurance Are Essential.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Involves Sorting, Counting, And Checking Incoming Shipments, As Well As Ensuring Accuracy In Inventory Records. Attention To Detail Is Key To Maintaining An Efficient And Accurate Receiving Process.

  • Customer Service Skills: Freight/Receiving Associates Often Interact With Customers Who Are Picking Up Orders Or Returning Items. A Friendly And Helpful Attitude Is Important For Providing A Positive Customer Experience.
