- Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks using proper equipment and safety procedures.
- Verify accuracy and integrity of shipments by matching received items to purchase orders and ensuring proper documentation.
- Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas, following company standards and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety and efficiency for all team members.
- Assist in the preparation of merchandise for store display and sales floor replenishment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of freight and receiving tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with locating merchandise and answering any questions they may have.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest ideas to enhance the freight/receiving process.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure efficient and effective operation of the department.
- Provide support for other areas of the store as needed.
- Comply with all legal and ethical standards set by the company.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Warehouse Setting, Preferably In A Receiving Role. This Includes Skills In Inventory Management, Loading And Unloading Trucks, And Operating Forklifts Or Other Equipment.
Strong Physical Stamina: This Role Involves A Significant Amount Of Physical Labor, Including Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Equipment. Candidates Should Have The Physical Strength And Endurance To Handle This Type Of Work On A Daily Basis.
Attention To Detail: In A Receiving Role, It Is Crucial To Accurately Scan, Count, And Inspect Incoming Shipments To Ensure The Correct Products And Quantities Have Been Delivered. Candidates Must Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Avoid Errors And Discrepancies.
Organizational Skills: In A Fast-Paced Receiving Environment, It Is Essential To Keep Track Of Multiple Shipments And Prioritize Tasks Accordingly. Candidates Should Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Manage Their Workload Efficiently And Meet Deadlines.
