- Collaborate with customers to create design plans and present product recommendations.

- Manage and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Strong Knowledge Of Design Principles: A Qualified Design Consultant Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Design Principles, Including Color Theory, Space Planning, And Materials Selection. This Knowledge Will Enable Them To Effectively Communicate With Customers And Provide Valuable Design Recommendations.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: As A Design Consultant, You Will Be Working Directly With Customers To Help Them Create Their Dream Homes. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills Are Essential In Order To Provide A Positive And Personalized Shopping Experience For Each Individual.
Experience In Sales And/Or Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Sales And/Or Design, Whether It Be In A Retail Setting Or Through Formal Education. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Ability To Meet Sales Goals And Understand The Design Process.
Knowledge Of Home Improvement Products: The Home Depot Offers A Wide Range Of Home Improvement Products, And A Design Consultant Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Products. This Will Allow Them To Make Informed Recommendations To Customers And Help Them Choose The Best Products For Their Needs.
