Job Description

As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will play an integral role in protecting our assets from internal and external theft, ensuring a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for all.   1. Monitor and maintain the security systems and protocols in place to protect the store's assets, including merchandise, cash, and property.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any potential vulnerabilities and risks.
  3. Utilize surveillance equipment, such as cameras and alarms, to deter and detect theft and other illegal activities.
  4. Respond to and investigate any reported incidents of theft, fraud, or other security concerns.
  5. Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement strategies for reducing and preventing theft and other security risks.
  6. Train and educate store employees on theft prevention techniques and best practices.
  7. Stay updated on current security trends and technology to continuously improve the effectiveness of the store's security measures.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents and actions taken.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers and employees to provide a safe and positive shopping experience.
  10. Act as a liaison with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed.
  11. Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for improving overall store security.
  12. Follow all company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  13. Handle any other duties or tasks related to asset protection as assigned by store management.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: The Ideal Candidate For An Asset Protection Specialist At The Home Depot Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Strategies, Including Cctv Monitoring, Electronic Article Surveillance, And Internal Theft Investigations.

  • Experience In Retail Security: Previous Experience In Retail Security Is A Must For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Preventing And Deterring Theft, As Well As Responding To Emergency Situations And Resolving Conflicts.
