  1. Monitor and protect store assets: The Asset Protection Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the store and its assets, including merchandise, equipment, and team members. This includes identifying potential risks and taking appropriate action to prevent loss or damage.
  2. Conduct security checks: The specialist will regularly conduct security checks throughout the store to ensure all assets are secure. This may involve inspecting merchandise, equipment, and areas of the store to identify any potential vulnerabilities.
  3. Enforce safety and security policies: The specialist will be responsible for enforcing all safety and security policies within the store. This includes ensuring all team members are following proper procedures and taking corrective action when necessary.
  4. Respond to emergencies: In the event of an emergency, the specialist will be responsible for taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of customers, team members, and store assets. This may involve contacting emergency services, evacuating the store, or following established emergency protocols.
  5. Collaborate with team members: The specialist will work closely with other team members to address security concerns and implement proactive measures to prevent loss. This includes communicating any potential risks and providing training on safety and security procedures.
  6. Provide excellent customer service: The specialist will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for customers. This may involve greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any security concerns they may have.
  7. Investigate incidents: In the event of a theft or other security incident, the specialist will be responsible for conducting a thorough investigation. This may involve reviewing security footage, interviewing witnesses, and documenting findings.
  8. Report and document incidents: The specialist will be responsible for accurately documenting and reporting any security incidents or concerns to the appropriate parties. This includes filling out incident reports and communicating with store management and corporate security as needed.
  9. Stay up-to-date on security trends: The specialist will stay informed about current security trends and technologies to continuously improve store security measures. This may involve attending training sessions and staying updated on industry best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention And Security Procedures: This Includes Knowledge Of Cctv Systems, Alarm Systems, And Other Security Measures To Prevent Theft And Fraud.

  • Experience In Investigations And Surveillance: Asset Protection Specialists Should Have Experience In Conducting Internal And External Investigations, As Well As Monitoring Suspicious Activity Through Surveillance Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Customers, Employees, And Law Enforcement Is Essential For An Asset Protection Specialist To Be Successful In Their Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Thinking: This Role Requires The Ability To Identify Potential Risks And Vulnerabilities, As Well As Analyze Data To Identify Patterns And Trends.

  • Physical Fitness And Ability To Handle Confrontations: Asset Protection Specialists May Need To Physically Intervene In Situations To Prevent Theft Or Detain Suspects. Physical Fitness And The Ability To Remain Calm And Professional In Confrontational Situations Is Important For This Role.
