Job Description

Le Labo, a luxury fragrance brand under The Estée Lauder Companies, is seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our team in Highland Park on a full-time basis. As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our products, helping to bring our unique scents to life.   1. Conduct regular quality control checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet our high standards.
  2. Work closely with the Lab Manager to develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
  3. Utilize laboratory equipment and instrumentation to perform tests and analyses on fragrance formulations.
  4. Record and analyze data, and report any discrepancies or issues to the Lab Manager.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  6. Assist in the development and testing of new fragrance formulations.
  7. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any product quality issues.
  8. Follow strict safety protocols and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to fragrance and beauty products.
  10. Participate in team meetings and provide input on ways to improve product quality and efficiency.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lab activities.
  12. Train new lab technicians and interns on lab procedures and protocols.
  13. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and supply chain.
  14. Continuously strive for improvement and seek out opportunities to streamline processes and increase productivity.
  15. Represent Le Labo and The Estée Lauder Companies with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Lab Technician At Le Labo Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Chemistry Or A Related Field To Understand The Scientific Principles And Processes Involved In The Creation Of Fragrances And Cosmetics.

  • Experience In A Laboratory Setting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience Working In A Laboratory, Preferably Within The Cosmetics Or Fragrance Industry. This Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of Lab Procedures And Safety Protocols.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: As A Lab Technician, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Maintain Accuracy In All Tasks, Including Measuring And Mixing Ingredients, Conducting Tests, And Recording Data.

  • Time Management And Multitasking Skills: The Estée Lauder Companies Is A Fast-Paced Environment, And The Lab Technician Will Be Responsible For Handling Multiple Tasks And Projects Simultaneously. Therefore, Strong Time Management And Multitasking Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
