Job Description

The Container Store is looking for a motivated and experienced Distribution Supervisor to join our team and help ensure the efficient and effective operation of our distribution center. This role is critical to our continued success and requires a commitment to excellence and exceptional leadership skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the distribution center.
  2. Supervise and motivate staff to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the center.
  3. Develop, implement, and monitor processes and procedures for efficient distribution and inventory control.
  4. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and take corrective action.
  5. Identify bottlenecks and devise solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  7. Train and mentor staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties efficiently.
  8. Set performance goals for staff and provide feedback and guidance to ensure they are met.
  9. Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  10. Create and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other distribution activities.
