Job Description

Welcome to The Children's Place, a leading retailer of children's clothing and accessories! We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Store Lead to join our team. As a Store Lead, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales while leading a team of passionate associates. We are looking for someone with a strong background in retail and a passion for working with children and their families.   1. Provide exceptional customer service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, handle customer inquiries and complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  2. Drive sales: Proactively engage with customers to promote products, meet and exceed sales goals, and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
  3. Lead a team: Supervise and train a team of associates, delegate tasks and responsibilities, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance.
  4. Maintain store standards: Ensure the store is visually appealing, fully stocked, and organized at all times, and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  5. Be knowledgeable about products: Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in children's fashion and have a thorough understanding of the products to effectively assist customers and drive sales.
  6. Represent the brand: Act as a brand ambassador and maintain a positive image of The Children's Place through personal appearance and behavior.
  7. Collaborate with management: Work closely with the store manager to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and operational goals.
  8. Handle administrative tasks: Responsible for opening and closing the store, counting cash drawers, and completing paperwork accurately and promptly.
  9. Ensure compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines, and ensure the team follows them as well.
  10. Foster a positive work environment: Promote a positive and inclusive work culture by fostering teamwork, motivating and recognizing team members, and resolving conflicts effectively.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Retail Management: A Store Lead At The Children's Place Should Have Prior Experience In Retail Management, Preferably In A Children's Clothing Store. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Store Operations, Inventory Management, And Customer Service.

  • Leadership Skills: The Store Lead Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage A Team. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Sales Goals.

  • Knowledge Of Children's Fashion: The Children's Place Specializes In Children's Clothing And Accessories, So A Store Lead Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends For Kids. This Includes Knowledge Of Popular Styles, Sizes, And Seasonal Items.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Store Lead, Effective Communication Is Crucial. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally With Customers, Team Members, And Upper Management. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are A Must.

  • Sales And Customer Service Experience: A Successful Store Lead Should Have Previous Experience In Sales And Customer Service. This Includes The Ability To Provide Exceptional Customer Service, Upsell Products, And Meet Sales Targets. Experience In A Commission-Based Sales Environment Is A Plus.
