Lead Custodian - Student Union & Activities (PM Shift)

1. Oversee and manage the cleaning and maintenance of the student union building on the PM shift.
2. Lead a team of custodial staff and ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
3. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
4. Train and onboard new custodial staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
5. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good working condition.
6. Respond to and resolve any cleaning or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
7. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events and ensure the student union building is prepared and presentable.
8. Uphold safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.
9. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and respect among custodial staff and other departments.
10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the cleanliness and functionality of the student union building.
11. Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to address any concerns or feedback regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of the building.
12. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for custodial services and implement them as appropriate.
13. Represent the student union and activities department in a professional and welcoming manner to all visitors.
14. Serve as a role model for the custodial staff by demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and dedication to providing exceptional service.
