
Director, Athletics Compliance

- Oversee and manage all aspects of athletics compliance for Texas Tech University, including NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with all governing bodies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries and issues.
- Monitor and track all recruiting activities and ensure compliance with recruiting rules and regulations.
- Conduct thorough and regular audits of all athletic department activities to identify and address any potential compliance violations.
- Provide guidance and education to coaches, staff, and student-athletes on compliance rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules and regulations, and communicate any changes or updates to relevant parties.
- Prepare and submit all required compliance reports and documentation to the NCAA and Big 12 Conference.
- Work closely with the Director of Athletics and other senior leaders to ensure a culture of compliance throughout the athletic department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with compliance officers at other universities to share best practices and ensure consistency in compliance efforts.
- Investigate and report any potential compliance violations to the appropriate authorities and take appropriate corrective action.
- Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and integrity within the athletic department and promote a culture of compliance and responsibility.
- Attend and actively participate in all relevant compliance training and professional development opportunities.
- Represent the athletic department at NCAA and Big 12 Conference meetings and events related to compliance.
Bachelor's Degree In Sports Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Athletics Compliance At A Division I University Or Ncaa Member Institution.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations, Including Experience Interpreting And Applying Them In A Compliance Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate And Communicate With Coaches, Student-Athletes, And University Staff.
Experience With Compliance Software And Technology, Such As Arms Or Jumpforward, And A Willingness To Stay Current With Emerging Compliance Technology And Tools.
