  1. Oversee all construction and facilities projects on the Texas Tech University campus, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans for the maintenance, renovation, and expansion of campus facilities to support the university's academic mission.
  3. Manage a team of facilities and construction staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with university leadership to identify and prioritize facility needs and make recommendations for improvement or expansion.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards in all construction and maintenance projects.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the best services and resources for the university.
  7. Manage budgets and resources for all facilities and construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  8. Identify and implement innovative solutions for enhancing the campus environment and improving sustainability.
  9. Communicate and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with campus facilities.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in order to continuously improve and enhance campus facilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Facilities And Construction Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Project Management Skills, Including Budgeting, Scheduling, And Vendor Management.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes, Regulations, And Safety Standards.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Manage A Team.
