  1. Ensure the safety and security of all students, faculty, and staff at Texas State University's Round Rock Campus.
  2. Maintain a visible and approachable presence on campus to promote a sense of safety and trust among the community.
  3. Respond to emergency situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, fires, and criminal activity, in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Enforce university policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
  5. Conduct regular patrols of the campus to identify and address potential safety hazards or security breaches.
  6. Monitor all campus buildings and facilities, including access control and surveillance systems.
  7. Investigate any reported incidents or suspicious activities and document findings.
  8. Collaborate with other campus departments, such as facilities and student affairs, to address safety concerns and implement preventative measures.
  9. Assist with emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills and trainings.
  10. Provide support and assistance to individuals in need, including providing escorts and directing individuals to appropriate resources.
  11. Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports as needed.
  12. Continuously update knowledge of safety and security procedures and policies.
  13. Serve as a positive role model for the campus community by upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  14. Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and visitors to promote a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
  15. Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement, Security, Or Emergency Services.

  • Certification As A Peace Officer By The Texas Commission On Law Enforcement (Tcole).

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Investigation, Physical Fitness Test, And Drug Screening.
