- Research and Identify Grant Opportunities: Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the university's mission and goals.
- Develop Grant Proposals: Work closely with faculty and staff to develop comprehensive and competitive grant proposals that effectively communicate the university's needs and objectives.
- Manage Grant Applications: Oversee the entire grant application process, ensuring all deadlines are met and all necessary documentation is included.
- Maintain Grant Calendar: Maintain a calendar of upcoming grant deadlines and ensure all necessary preparations are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with University Departments: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders across the university to gather information and data necessary for grant proposals.
- Review Grant Guidelines: Carefully review and interpret grant guidelines to ensure all proposals meet the necessary requirements.
- Budget Management: Work with the finance department to develop accurate and detailed budgets for grant proposals.
- Monitor Grant Progress: Monitor the progress of grant-funded projects and ensure all reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Grant Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports and final reports for grants, tracking and documenting all expenses and outcomes.
- Stay Informed of Grant Trends: Stay up-to-date on current grant trends and changes in the grant landscape to ensure the university is utilizing the most effective strategies for securing funding.
- Maintain Grant Database: Create and maintain a database of all grant applications and their statuses for future reference.
- Represent the University: Serve as a liaison between the university and funding organizations, representing the university in a professional and positive manner.
- Attend Trainings and Workshops: Attend trainings and workshops to enhance grant writing skills and stay informed of best practices.
- Foster Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders and potential funders to increase opportunities for grant funding.
- Uphold University Values: Represent and uphold the values and mission of the university in all grant-related activities and communications.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field (E.g. Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Grant Writing And Management
Knowledge Of Federal And State Grant Regulations And Guidelines
Ability To Work Independently And As A Team Member, With Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills
