Job Description

As the Coordinator of Alumni Engagement, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with our alumni and helping them stay connected to their alma mater. We are seeking a highly motivated and personable individual who is passionate about building meaningful connections and enhancing the overall alumni experience.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans to engage and connect with Texas State University alumni.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with alumni through various communication channels, including email, social media, and events.
  3. Collaborate with various university departments to ensure alumni are informed about campus news and events.
  4. Plan and execute alumni events, such as networking receptions, homecoming activities, and educational workshops.
  5. Oversee the planning and execution of the annual alumni reunion and class reunions.
  6. Coordinate volunteer opportunities for alumni to give back to the university and its current students.
  7. Identify and cultivate potential alumni donors, working closely with the development team.
  8. Develop and maintain a database of alumni information, including contact details, professional achievements, and engagement history.
  9. Create and distribute alumni communications, including newsletters, surveys, and updates on university initiatives.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the university and alumni, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  11. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote alumni events and initiatives.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve alumni engagement efforts based on data and feedback.
  13. Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in alumni relations.
  14. Represent the university at alumni events and conferences.
  15. Work closely with the Alumni Association Board and other alumni leaders to engage and involve alumni in university initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Marketing, Communications, Or Higher Education Administration.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Alumni Relations, Event Planning, Or Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Diverse Groups Of Individuals.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Events Simultaneously.

  • Knowledge Of Alumni Databases And Social Media Platforms, As Well As Experience Creating Engaging Content For Alumni Communications.
