Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Procurement team at Texas State University. The Buyer will be responsible for researching, selecting and purchasing goods and services for the university. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for purchasing and negotiation, who is able to work independently and collaboratively.The successful candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field, and at least three years of experience in a procurement role. They must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.
