  1. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles in the Texas State University fleet.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, using advanced knowledge and expertise in automotive technology.
  3. Perform complex repairs and replacements of parts and components, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including detailed reports of any issues and solutions.
  5. Monitor and ensure the safety and compliance of all vehicles in the fleet, including regular inspections and adherence to regulations and standards.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the team to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks.
  7. Communicate effectively with colleagues and university staff to provide updates on repairs and maintenance schedules.
  8. Continuously seek out ways to improve and streamline processes, equipment, and procedures.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff by promptly addressing any vehicle issues and ensuring their safe and timely transportation needs are met.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Job Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Shows The Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Required For The Job.

  • Relevant Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As An Automotive Mechanic. This Could Include Experience In A Dealership, Repair Shop, Or Other Related Field.
