Welcome to the future of automotive engineering with Tesla! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Thermal Systems Aerodynamicist to join our dynamic Vehicle Engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the aerodynamic performance of our cutting-edge electric vehicles, ensuring they are not only environmentally friendly but also highly efficient and aerodynamically superior. We are looking for someone with a strong background in aerodynamics and thermal systems, who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the automotive industry.   1. Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize the aerodynamic performance of Tesla's electric vehicles.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential areas for improvement in the thermal and aerodynamic systems of our vehicles.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless integration of aerodynamics and thermal systems.
  4. Utilize advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to model and predict the performance of various design options.
  5. Design and conduct wind tunnel and track testing to validate and refine CFD simulations.
  6. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of Tesla's vehicles in terms of aerodynamics and thermal efficiency, and propose improvements as needed.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry advancements and trends in aerodynamics and thermal systems, and integrate them into Tesla's vehicle designs.
  8. Work closely with suppliers to source and integrate cutting-edge materials and technologies for maximum aerodynamic and thermal efficiency.
  9. Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and recommendations to ensure the best possible aerodynamic and thermal performance of Tesla's vehicles.
  10. Train and mentor junior team members on aerodynamics and thermal systems, sharing knowledge and best practices to continuously improve the team's capabilities.
  11. Maintain detailed documentation of all design and testing processes, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during testing and development processes.
  13. Represent Tesla at industry events and conferences, showcasing our advancements in aerodynamics and thermal systems.
  14. Continuously strive to push the boundaries of what is possible in the automotive industry, driving innovation and setting new standards for aerodynamic and thermal performance.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Mechanical Or Aerospace Engineering

  • Expertise In Computational Fluid Dynamics (Cfd) Analysis And Simulation Software

  • Experience With Designing And Optimizing Thermal Management Systems For Electric Vehicles

  • Knowledge Of Vehicle Dynamics And Aerodynamic Principles
