We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team in the Drive Unit department. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our drive units, which are the heart of our vehicles. Your expertise and attention to detail will be key in helping us achieve our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.   1. Conduct thorough testing and performance analysis on drive units, using various methods and tools to ensure they meet Tesla's high standards for quality and performance.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive test plans, including defining test requirements and procedures.
  3. Identify and troubleshoot any issues or defects in the drive units, and work with the engineering team to find solutions and make improvements.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests and results, and provide regular progress updates to the Drive Unit department and other stakeholders.
  5. Continuously improve testing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in drive unit technology, and incorporate new techniques and tools into testing practices.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while conducting tests.
  8. Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to coordinate testing activities and resolve any issues.
  9. Contribute to the design and development of new test equipment and procedures as needed.
  10. Work closely with the production team to ensure a seamless transition from testing to mass production.
  11. Take ownership of the drive unit testing process, including coordinating resources and managing timelines to meet project goals and deadlines.
  12. Provide technical support to other teams, including production, quality control, and customer service, as needed.
  13. Actively participate in team meetings and provide valuable insights and suggestions for improvement.
  14. Act as a brand ambassador for Tesla, upholding the company's values and promoting its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Testing And Validation Of Drive Units For Electric Vehicles

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As C++, Python, And Labview

  • Experience With Diagnostic Tools And Equipment For Troubleshooting And Analysis Of Drive Units

  • Strong Understanding Of Electric Vehicle Components, Systems, And Performance Metrics.
