- Oversee and optimize the control systems and processes for precision machining operations at Optimus, Tesla's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
- Develop and implement control strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and precision in machining operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot any issues with control systems and processes.
- Monitor and analyze data from control systems to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and make recommendations for incorporating new control systems and processes into operations.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of all control systems and processes.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on control systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the control systems and processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and implement new control systems and processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production teams.
- Conduct regular audits of control systems and processes to identify and address any potential issues.
- Keep track of industry trends and best practices and make recommendations for their implementation in our control systems and processes.
- Work closely with management to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in control systems and processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Adhere to Tesla's policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
Extensive Experience In Precision Machining: The Sr. Controls Engineer At Tesla Must Have A Strong Background And Expertise In Precision Machining Processes And Techniques. This Includes Experience With Cnc Machinery, Programming, And Troubleshooting.
Proficiency In Controls And Automation Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess In-Depth Knowledge And Experience With Various Controls And Automation Systems Used In Precision Machining, Such As Plcs, Hmis, And Servo Drives.
