  1. Develop and maintain dimensional engineering standards and processes to ensure the accuracy and precision of vehicle designs and manufacturing processes.
  2. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve dimensional engineering issues.
  3. Conduct thorough dimensional analysis and tolerance stack-ups to validate and optimize vehicle designs.
  4. Create and maintain detailed dimensional inspection plans and reports.
  5. Utilize advanced measurement tools and techniques to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
  6. Train and mentor junior dimensional engineers to enhance team capabilities.
  7. Communicate dimensional engineering requirements and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices related to dimensional engineering.
  9. Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve dimensional engineering aspects of designs.
  10. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance dimensional engineering processes and outcomes.
  11. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their dimensional engineering capabilities align with Tesla's standards.
  12. Support the development and validation of new measurement tools and techniques.
  13. Investigate and resolve dimensional engineering-related quality issues.
  14. Provide technical guidance and support to other engineering teams as needed.
  15. Represent Tesla as a subject matter expert in dimensional engineering at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience Working In Dimensional Engineering, Preferably In The Automotive Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Gd&T Principles And Proficiency In Utilizing Cad Software, Such As Catia Or Solidworks.

  • Experience In Conducting Tolerance Stack-Up Analyses And Performing Root Cause Analyses For Dimensional Issues.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Advanced Measurement Techniques And Equipment, Such As Laser Scanners And Coordinate Measuring Machines.
