  • Design and develop control systems for Tesla's electric vehicles, focusing on the powertrain components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of controls systems
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality
  • Continuously analyze and improve existing control systems to meet performance and efficiency goals
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in controls engineering to incorporate into Tesla's systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with control systems during development, production, or in the field
  • Document all control system designs, developments, and changes for future reference
  • Train and mentor junior engineers on controls engineering principles and practices
  • Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to optimize control system components and processes
  • Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of controls engineering work.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Powertrain Controls Development, Preferably In The Automotive Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Powertrain Systems, Including Engines, Transmissions, And Drivetrain Components.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As C++, Python, And Matlab.

  • Experience With Control System Design And Development Tools, Such As Simulink, Canalyzer, And Hil Testing.
