  1. Conduct precise and accurate measurements using advanced metrology tools and techniques.
  2. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish and maintain quality standards for the Cybertruck.
  3. Perform regular calibration and maintenance of metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  4. Analyze measurement data and identify any deviations or discrepancies, taking necessary corrective actions.
  5. Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in the measurement process.
  6. Train and supervise junior metrology technicians to ensure proper measurement techniques and adherence to quality standards.
  7. Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies in metrology to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  8. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any quality issues and ensure smooth production processes.
  9. Document and maintain records of all measurement data and reports for future reference.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling metrology equipment and materials.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Or Physics Is Required. Additional Training In Metrology And Quality Control Is Preferred.

  • Experience: At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Automotive Industry. Knowledge Of Metrology Equipment And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Quality Control Systems And Processes, Is Essential.

  • Attention To Detail: A Metrology Engineering Technician Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Be Able To Accurately Analyze And Interpret Data. They Must Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Troubleshoot Any Issues That Arise During The Measurement And Inspection Process.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency With Metrology Equipment And Software, Such As Cmms, Optical Scanners, And Gd&T Analysis Software, Is Required. Familiarity With Cad Software And Programming Languages Like Python Is Also Preferred.

  • Communication And Teamwork: As A Part Of The Quality Team, A Metrology Engineering Technician Must Have Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members. They Must Also Have The Ability To Clearly Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
