  1. Design and implement advanced instrumentation and control systems for renewable energy systems.
  2. Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment for renewable energy systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to instrumentation and controls.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of instrumentation and controls into renewable energy systems.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in instrumentation and controls.
  6. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for instrumentation and control systems.
  7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  8. Train and mentor junior technicians on instrumentation and control procedures and techniques.
  9. Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  10. Continuously improve processes and procedures to optimize performance and reliability of instrumentation and control systems.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
  12. Collaborate with external vendors to source and procure necessary equipment and materials.
  13. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed.
  14. Assist with commissioning and testing of new or upgraded instrumentation and control systems.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support to other team members as needed.
  16. Embrace and promote a culture of sustainability and clean energy within the company.
  17. Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  18. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Electrical And Instrumentation Systems: A Qualified Candidate Should Have Extensive Knowledge And Experience Working With Complex Electrical And Instrumentation Systems, Including Plcs, Dcs, Scada, And Other Control Systems.

  • Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Problems In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Essential For A Tesla Instrumentation & Controls Journeyman. This Includes Identifying And Resolving Issues With Sensors, Actuators, And Other Instrumentation Components.

  • Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations: A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Including Osha, Nec, And Nfpa, Is Necessary To Ensure Compliance And Safety In All Aspects Of The Job.

  • Experience With Automation And Robotics: Tesla Utilizes Advanced Automation And Robotics In Their Manufacturing Processes. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience Working With And Programming These Systems To Ensure Efficient And Accurate Operations.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: As Part Of A Larger Team, It Is Important For A Journeyman To Have Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills. This Includes Effectively Communicating With Colleagues And Supervisors, As Well As Collaborating On Projects And Troubleshooting Issues Together.
