
Engineering Technician, Thermal, Abuse Test & Engineering

- Conduct thermal system and abuse tests on our vehicles according to established procedures and protocols.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to the engineering team.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or anomalies during testing.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and optimize test procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and incorporate new technologies and techniques into testing processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to provide updates on testing progress and results.
- Assist with the development and validation of new thermal system components.
- Document all testing procedures and results accurately and thoroughly.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input and ideas for improvement and innovation.
- Adhere to company values and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Knowledge Of Thermal Testing Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Thermal Testing Processes And Procedures, Including Data Acquisition And Analysis.
Experience With Abuse Testing: Candidates Should Have Hands-On Experience Conducting Abuse Testing On Automotive Components, Such As Batteries And Powertrain Systems.
Engineering Background: A Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Be Able To Apply Them In A Testing Environment.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Meticulously Follow Test Protocols And Accurately Record Data Is Crucial For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Potential Issues Or Anomalies In Test Results.
Team Player: As Part Of The Tesla Engineering Team, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Collaborate And Communicate Effectively With Other Team Members. The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment And Contribute To The Overall Success Of Projects Is Essential.
