Job Description

Design, create and implement electrical, pneumatic and fluid schematics as per codes and standards. Design and implement control reliable safety systems for safeguarding robots, gantries, conveyors, and other high-volume manufacturing equipment as per codes and standards. Transform concept layouts / designs into fabrication & installation drawings. Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluid plumbing. Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits. Participate in Tesla electrical specification and standard creation, release to Vendor and quote technical evaluation. Enforce application of Tesla electrical standards, Manage suppliers during specification, design review, design approval.

Job Qualifications

  • Exposure to programming Industrial PC, PLC and motor controllers

  • Process knowledge in the field of cell manufacturing

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in an electrical/hardware engineering position

  • Proficiency in field network topology, both theory and practical applications

  • Proficiency designing electrical & power distribution systems in ePlan Electrical
