- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions for Tesla's vehicles, considering factors such as product protection, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure packaging meets all requirements and specifications.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed packaging designs and prototypes for testing and evaluation.
- Conduct thorough research on new materials and technologies to incorporate into packaging designs, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and trends.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize packaging processes and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in the design and development of packaging solutions.
- Work closely with suppliers to source and test materials for packaging designs, negotiating cost-effective options.
- Analyze and troubleshoot any packaging-related issues that may arise during production, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation and records related to packaging designs, including specifications, drawings, and testing results.
- Stay informed on competitive packaging solutions and make recommendations for improvements and changes to stay ahead of the market.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field
Proficiency In Cad Software, Such As Solidworks Or Autocad
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Packaging Design, Preferably In The Automotive Industry
Strong Understanding Of Materials And Manufacturing Processes, With A Focus On Sustainability And Efficiency
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Meet Project Deadlines And Objectives.
