Job Description

  1. Develop and maintain automation systems for battery cell production, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and meet production goals.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any issues with automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  3. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to design, test, and implement new automation processes and improvements.
  4. Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Monitor and analyze data from automation systems to identify potential areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  6. Keep up-to-date with latest industry trends and advancements in automation technology to continuously improve processes and systems.
  7. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems into production processes.
  8. Comply with safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. Train and mentor junior team members on automation systems and processes.
  10. Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements within the automation process.
  11. Maintain accurate documentation of all automation processes, procedures, and changes.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert for all automation-related queries and provide technical support to other departments as needed.
  13. Uphold Tesla's commitment to sustainable energy production and strive to push the boundaries of clean energy technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Plc Programming: The Automation Controls Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs) And Be Able To Program, Troubleshoot, And Modify Them For Battery Cell Production Processes.

  • Knowledge Of Battery Cell Manufacturing: A Deep Understanding Of Battery Cell Manufacturing Processes And Equipment Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Experience With Battery Assembly, Testing, And Quality Control.

  • Experience With Automation Systems: Tesla Uses A Variety Of Automation Systems In Their Battery Cell Production, Such As Robotics, Sensors, And Data Acquisition Systems. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With These Systems And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Maintain Them.

  • Electrical And Mechanical Skills: The Automation Controls Technician Should Have A Strong Background In Both Electrical And Mechanical Engineering. This Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Electrical And Mechanical Schematics And Experience With Troubleshooting And Repairing Equipment.

  • Attention To Detail And Safety: Battery Cell Production Requires Strict Adherence To Safety Protocols And Attention To Detail. The Automation Controls Technician Should Have A Strong Focus On Safety And Be Able To Work With Precision To Ensure Quality And Efficiency In The Production Process.
