- Accurately and efficiently maintain and manage cancer registry data for all patients at Tenet Healthcare.
- Utilize specialized software and coding systems to accurately document and track cancer diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that all cancer cases are properly identified and documented in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in cancer treatment and coding guidelines in order to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
- Participate in data quality audits and assist in resolving any discrepancies or errors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
- Provide support and education to healthcare providers and staff regarding cancer registry procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of cancer data to state and national cancer registries.
- Identify and investigate any missing or incomplete data and take appropriate steps to obtain and document the information.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing policies and procedures to improve the cancer registry program.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families by addressing any questions or concerns related to the cancer registry.
- Attend continuing education programs and conferences to stay updated on industry standards and best practices for cancer registry.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely collection of data for research and public health purposes.

Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field
Certified Tumor Registrar (Ctr) Credential From The National Cancer Registrars Association (Ncra)
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Cancer Registry Data Management And Reporting
Proficient In Cancer Registry Software And Electronic Medical Record Systems
Knowledge Of Current Cancer Reporting Standards And Regulations, Including Seer And Coc Guidelines.
