  1. Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs.
  2. Prepare operating room by sterilizing equipment and setting up surgical instruments.
  3. Maintain a sterile and safe environment during surgical procedures.
  4. Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available for each procedure.
  5. Anticipate potential issues and help troubleshoot equipment or supply shortages.
  6. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective procedures.
  7. Properly handle and dispose of all surgical specimens.
  8. Document procedures and maintain accurate records.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  10. Continuously monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning.
  11. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during procedures.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve technical skills.
  14. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.
  16. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in patient care.

  18. Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technician (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Technologist Role, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Instruments, And Equipment, As Well As Aseptic Techniques And Infection Control Protocols

  • Ability To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment, Anticipating The Needs Of Surgeons During Procedures

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure Safe And Successful Surgeries.
