- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and organizing the necessary equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by following proper sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Maintain a sterile and organized surgical environment throughout procedures.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons and other surgical team members to anticipate their needs and provide assistance.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with positioning and draping.
- Prepare and handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or supply issues in the operating room.

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technician Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Program In Surgical Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have Received The Necessary Training And Education In Surgical Procedures, Equipment, And Patient Care.
Surgical Technician Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Valid Certification From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa). This Certification Demonstrates A Thorough Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Patient Safety Protocols.
