As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our surgical team and ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.   1. Assist surgical team: The primary responsibility of a Surgical Technician is to assist the surgical team during procedures. This includes passing instruments, sponges, and other equipment to the surgeon, as well as keeping track of surgical supplies and ensuring they are properly sterilized.
  2. Ensure patient safety: The Surgical Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety of the patient during surgical procedures. This includes maintaining a sterile environment, monitoring vital signs, and responding to any emergency situations.
  3. Anticipate needs: A key responsibility of the Surgical Technician is to anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures. This includes being able to anticipate which instruments or supplies will be needed next and having them ready for use.
  4. Prepare operating room: Before each procedure, the Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room. This includes setting up instruments and equipment, ensuring the room is properly sterilized, and making sure all necessary supplies are available.
  5. Assist with patient positioning: The Surgical Technician may be responsible for assisting with patient positioning on the operating table. This includes ensuring the patient is comfortable and in the correct position for the procedure.
  6. Maintain equipment: It is the responsibility of the Surgical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot surgical equipment, such as lights, suction devices, and monitors. This may include cleaning and sterilizing equipment, as well as reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Recordkeeping: The Surgical Technician is responsible for accurately documenting all procedures and maintaining patient records. This includes recording the types and amounts of supplies used, as well as any complications or issues that may arise during the procedure.
  8. Follow safety protocols: It is the responsibility of the Surgical Technician to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper hand hygiene, wearing personal protective equipment, and following infection control guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience As A Surgical Technician In An Acute Care Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Instruments And Equipment.

  • Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Surgeons, Nurses And Other Healthcare Professionals.
