  1. Assist in prepping and organizing surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments for procedures.
  2. Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  3. Maintain a sterile and clean operating room by following proper infection control protocols.
  4. Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures and provide necessary support.
  5. Prepare patients for surgery by assisting with positioning, draping, and other preoperative tasks.
  6. Monitor and document patient vital signs during surgery.
  7. Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room.
  8. Ensure the availability and functionality of necessary equipment and instruments.
  9. Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills in surgical technology to provide the best possible care to patients.
  11. Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  12. Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and equipment usage.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  14. Provide emotional support to patients and their families before, during, and after surgery.
  15. Assist with post-operative care, including wound care and dressing changes.
  16. Collaborate with supply chain and inventory management to ensure adequate supply of surgical equipment and supplies.
  17. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  18. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technician Program Or Equivalent Education And Training.

  • Current Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technician In An Acute Care Or Hospital Setting.

  • Proficiency In A Variety Of Surgical Procedures And Techniques, Including Sterilization And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
