1. Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and organizing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and providing necessary equipment and supplies to surgeons.
2. Maintain a high level of proficiency in surgical techniques, tools, and equipment to support surgeons in performing safe and effective procedures.
3. Monitor and anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures, including handing them instruments, sponges, and supplies.
4. Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by following proper infection control protocols and procedures.
5. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use.
6. Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide information and address any concerns.
8. Keep accurate records of procedures, including patient information, supplies used, and other relevant data.
9. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education to stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and technology.
