Completion Of A Sterile Processing Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Experience In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification As A Sterile Processing Technician (Crcst) Through The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm) Or The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd).
Knowledge Of Infection Control And Sterilization Techniques, Including Proper Handling And Disposal Of Contaminated Items.
Ability To Operate And Maintain Sterilization Equipment, Such As Steam Autoclaves And Gas Plasma Sterilizers.
Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Record And Track Sterile Supplies And Equipment.
