Tenet Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sterile Processing Manager to oversee our sterile processing department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of processing, sterilizing, and storing all surgical instruments and equipment, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a sterile processing setting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.   1. Manage and coordinate the activities of the sterile processing department, including processing, sterilizing, and storing surgical instruments and equipment.
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to sterile processing, including those from the CDC, FDA, and OSHA.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
  5. Train and supervise staff in proper sterile processing techniques and safety protocols.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective processing of surgical instruments and equipment.
  7. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all processed instruments and equipment.
  9. Investigate and resolve any issues or concerns related to sterile processing.
  10. Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in sterile processing techniques and equipment.
  11. Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other departments to promote teamwork and ensure smooth operations.
  12. Monitor department budget and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  13. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback and guidance to staff.
  14. Represent the sterile processing department in meetings and committees as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification In Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cspd) From An Accredited Organization Such As Iahcsmm Or Cbspd.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Sterile Processing, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Regulatory Standards And Guidelines Related To Sterile Processing, Including Joint Commission And Osha.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
