As the Sterile Processing Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our hospital maintains the highest standards of infection prevention and control. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in managing our sterile processing department and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of medical equipment.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the sterile processing department, including scheduling, staffing, and quality control measures.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, including those related to infection prevention and control.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to effectively manage the sterilization and processing of medical equipment.
  4. Train and supervise staff in proper handling and sterilization techniques, as well as safety protocols.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of equipment and supplies.
  7. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the sterile processing department to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement.
  8. Stay current on advances in sterilization techniques and equipment, and make recommendations for updates or improvements.
  9. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure their needs and expectations are met in regards to sterile equipment and supplies.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including sterilization logs and equipment maintenance records.
  11. Handle any issues or concerns related to sterile processing in a timely and efficient manner.
  12. Lead and participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the sterile processing department.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among all staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Management Or Related Field

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or Certified Sterile Processing And Distribution Technician (Cspdt) Certification

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Sterile Processing, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Management Role

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations And Standards, Such As Osha, Joint Commission, And Aami

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
