  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the sterile processing department.
  2. Ensure the proper sterilization and maintenance of all instruments and equipment used in patient care.
  3. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the sterile processing department.
  4. Train and supervise a team of sterile processing technicians to ensure quality and efficiency.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain department operations.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment and supplies.
  7. Maintain compliance with all industry regulations and standards.
  8. Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest level of patient safety.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns related to sterile processing.
  10. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in sterile processing technology.
  11. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  13. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including physicians and administration.
  14. Participate in departmental meetings and provide updates on department activities.
  15. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or Certified Sterile Processing And Distribution Technician (Cspdt).

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Sterile Processing Management, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Sterile Processing Guidelines And Regulations, Including Aami And Aorn Standards.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Manage A Team Of Sterile Processing Technicians.
