  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their communication and swallowing abilities.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results, patient needs, and medical history.
  3. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' speech, language, and swallowing skills.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
  6. Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and strategies to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
  7. Stay current with industry developments and advancements in speech therapy techniques.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
  10. Provide support and guidance to speech therapy assistants and other support staff.
  11. Attend team meetings and participate in interdisciplinary discussions to provide input on patient care.
  12. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: Candidates Must Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.

  • State Licensure And Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Current State License And Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center.

  • Knowledge Of Speech And Language Disorders: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Speech And Language Disorders, As Well As The Latest Treatment Techniques And Technologies.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Speech Therapist Requires Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Their Families, As Well As Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
